The Alytus Business Advisory Centre kindly invites you and all vocational teachers and lecturers to participate in the Circular Economy in the Metal Sector Living Labs in Poland and Lithuania on 16 and 18 May.
MAY 16TH IN POLAND
The Living Lab event in Poland will be an interactive training day to learn about the principles of the circular economy and to enrich everyday professional decisions as green transformation in the metal sector becomes increasingly important.
This seminar day aims to disseminate circular economy good practices in the metal sector, with a particular focus on welding technologies that help to structure and adapt companies to the challenges of green transformation.
The programme includes a study tour to a modern agricultural machinery manufacturing company (SaMASZ sp. z o.o.), a case study and a workshop to help participants understand the potential of the circular economy and identify possible applications in their daily work processes. The main objective of the meeting will be to develop a creative framework based on the analytical pathways to sustainable production - 5 STEPS.

MAY 18TH IN LITHUANIA
Living Lab event in Lithuania: "Challenges of the circular economy for innovation in the metal and engineering sectors" - Living Lab Lithuania.
Topics of the event:
- "Erasmus+ project CEMIVET: applying circular economy principles for more sustainable welding. Challenges of the circular economy for the Lithuanian engineering industry.
- Is sustainable welding possible/necessary? A view from an industrial company's perspective.
- Applying sustainability principles to welding work processes: technological aspects.
- How are the principles of sustainability and the circular economy integrated into vocational training programs?
The event will take place at AB Astra LT. Astra LT is one of the oldest companies in the metalworking sector in Lithuania, both in the region and in Europe, well known in the ferrous and stainless steel sectors, the largest manufacturer of tanks and pressure vessels in the region, exporting to many countries in Europe and the world.
