“RING ECONOMY IN VOCATIONAL TRAINING OF METAL INDUSTRY”
CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN METAL INDUSTRIES VET

The project will support SMEs and their employees in metal clusters to better understand the ongoing transformations (such as the climate crisis), to recognize their impact and to take appropriate adaptation measures. The project will demonstrate the potential of the RING ECONOMY, especially in metal processing, manufacturing and other processes. In addition, VET teachers and learners will be involved in specialist training and development activities. 200 participants will be included from these target groups. Young people, especially young women, should learn about the new sustainability orientation of the metal professions. An initiative group of around 12 young women and men to 300 young people is planned.
The project activities consist of three stages:
1) Analysis Phase describing existing metalworking and manufacturing tasks, processes and competencies.
2) Competences of the HR. Linked to the results of the analysis, the partners identify new competencies that need to be taught in appropriate methods and contribute to a convincing and adaptable future value chain development concept in metalworking companies.
3) Training Programs. R&D results and examples of best practice in HR that already exist in metals SMEs will be systematically recorded and incorporated into learning materials. The partners will create and offer OPEN VOCATIONAL COURSES “PAOK” and various “Living Labs” programs as dissemination events in ŽE. In addition, the project partners create a SUPPORT STRUCTURE and provide an overview of career opportunities.
